Drugs and the availability of powerful automatic hand guns brought a homicide epidemic to our large cities in the 1990’s.
Many of the victims are innocent children. But this is not only about victims – it is also about killers.
In a sense, this set of photos is about what happens to the children that appear in Outside the Dream.
Since I took these photos youth violence has moved to suburban schools. While the parents of these child killers can not escape blame, neither can we, if while pursuing our affluent life-styles, we continue to ignore the emotional needs of children.
