Stephen Shames: A lifetime in Photography is 208 pages and contains 136 photographs—selections from my spooks and projects plus many unpublished photos. Book measures 9-1/2 x 12-/1/2 inches.

I will be doing a kickstarter soon. My kickstarter will be the only opportunity to get a signed copy of my book before it hits the book stores. My book is only available in the USA before April, 2025 from this Kickstarter. (Book will not be in book US stores until April, 2025. Even after it is in book stores, I will only be doing a few book signings.)

I have been a photographer for more than five decades. I traversed five continents, witnessing tragedy and triumph. During my career I authored 11 monogram photo books, 7 self-published books, and 14 zines. Much of my photography is about children and families in distress with a focus on identity and family: what tears us apart and binds us together—violence and abuse, but also sensuality, love, hope, and transcendence.
